Product Care & Installation
After installing Dani Subway Tiles, remove any leftover adhesive or grout residue by using a commercial descaling product specifically formulated for ceramic tiles. Dilute according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and ensure the product does not remain on the tile surface for longer than 5 minutes.
Avoid cleaning Dani Subway Tiles with powdered detergents, steel wool, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the matte finish. Typically, a soft sponge with warm water and neutral liquid soap will be sufficient for routine cleaning. Always rinse thoroughly afterward with plenty of clean water.
To ensure Dani Subway Tiles adhere properly, it’s crucial to use adhesives and grout specifically recommended for ceramic tile installation. These materials must also be appropriate for the environmental conditions they’ll experience. Traditional mortars do not provide sufficient adhesion for Dani Subway Tiles.
Due to the artisanal nature of Dani Subway Tiles, slight dimensional variations between individual tiles may occur. Proper planning and execution of all joint types—including structural, perimeter, expansion, and installation joints—is essential. Installing these tiles without joints is not recommended, as it can lead to technical issues.
For optimal visual appeal and to highlight the distinct mosaic effect of Dani Subway Tiles, we recommend using a joint width of 1.5 mm (0.06”) along with grout in a color that contrasts with the tile. Selecting a grout color similar to the tile is not advised, as it diminishes the tile’s distinctive aesthetic.
